This year the Jewish feast of Purim, which celebrates Queen Esther saving the Jews from mass murder in ancient times, corresponded with Christian Holy Week.  I prefer it when Passover corresponds.

I did not say anything about Purim last week.  But I came across this remarkable photo.  It shows a U. S. army chaplain holding a Jewish service at the residence of Nazi Propaganda Minister, Joseph Goebbels near the end of World War II:


It seemed to me an appropriate image for Purim.
